Hello folks:

I came here to announce that the V2 upgrade is now available
and saw that someone beat me to the punch! Sorry - I went to
see Elton John/Billy Joel last night so I'm running a bit late...

I appreciate your patience - we took extra long to refine the
updater software to make it as "bullet-proof" as we could.

That said, yes, there is a rather stern warning as you have
started discussing. That's to scare off anyone who is not
skilled/experienced at running a MIDI system on their computer,
plain and simple. Since there is risk in performing this upgrade I
don't want anyone who doesn't regularly run MIDI on their
computer (and I don't mean simply listening to MIDI files in
Windows Media player or Quicktime!) to decide this is the time to
try connecting up the MIDI jacks on their low-cost soundcard and
give it a whirl. If you regularly run a normal MIDI
sequencing/synth editing system then the update is likely going
to be fine, as the updater rigorously tests your setup before it will
start.

But again - if you have ANY concerns about doing this, then don't.
Get to a friends who you know has a stable/more advanced
setup, or contact us and we'll help you.

I'd like to thank Bruce at this point, who helped us perform some
detailed testing - and kept on me about getting this done so all of
you would benefit from the many sonic and performance
enhancements that the OS will provide you.
