too have a CX-3 and like the mono leslie sim on the unit. However, if
you can get your hands on the old Dynacord analog rack leslie sim or
the ones that EV later produced , I feel that is the ticket. When
A/Bing both simulators, they sounded very similiar in mono, but in
stereo the Dynacord blew it away. Ensoniq had some decent leslie sims
for their TS series boards, which were taken from their DP effects
processor. I also had a Voce V3 which when using their 122 modeler
preset was spot on rotation and sound wise with my Motion Sound. So
much so that with their backs turned the band members thought the V3
sim was that of the Motion Sound Horn with the tube pre off. I also
had the HK rotosphere, but I didn't think that the slow rotor was very
realistic.I would have to rate the Dynacord sim first, and the onboard
Cx3 second, followed by the voce stuff for electronic simulators only.
I also use a tubeworks Blue Tube 2 dual rackmount preamp with 2 AT7;s
installed for some tube OD if needed. Just my opinion ,enjoyed the
chat, Joe P.S. Can't wait to install ver.2 on the CX-3 and see if
there are any leslie sim improvements.
