Subject:More on VK7 vs. 8 vs. Electro

To the Electrophiles... I don't mean to offend. Just my opinion. I
tried a variety of setting on the Electro, plus switching between
straight out into KBR-M and simulator out into the KBR-M's
stationary speaker. I just didn't quite dig the sound or the
action... and the design and interface don't really contribute to
that organ-playing-vibe that the others give. However, its clav
sound is surprisingly nice... and the Rhodes, Wurli, and Piano
sounds are pretty good... comparable to the VK-8s... maybe a bit
better.

Anyway... I appreciate the input on the VK. Still have no idea if
the 8's capable of transposition and alternate tuning adjustment.
Anyone?

I don't need the detailed adjustments that the VK-7's screen lets
you make... but tuning and transposition are way important to me...
so I'd love to know this. The sales drones at the local place were
clueless.

Typical. No one ever makes the perfect board... the XB-2 still makes
me happy enough live. It'd just be nice to have something remotely
realistic to play with headphones on.
