There have been several comments in this group and the Electro group
regarding the Electro's key click level. The Electro's Leslie-off
setting is meant to sound like the preamp output on the real thing.
The straight preamp output on my '63 C-3 has nearly the identical
amount of keyclick that the V1 or default V2 Electro has, and my C-3
isn't a particularly "clicky" one. The Electro through its internal
Leslie sim, an H&K Rotosphere, or my Speakeasy/Leslie 145, the
keyclick sounds just right because of the high-end roll-off. In
fact, on my V2 Electro, I actually *increase* the keyclick from the
default. If you're auditioning an Electro, bear in mind what the
Leslie-off setting is emulating. And as mentioned below, it is easy
to tame it if you feel it is too loud. I'm guessing most people
wouldn't like the sound of a real B-3's preamp output pumped directly
into a full range sound system very much either.
