Subject:Re: CX-3 Leslie sim and tone settings
Here are the settings for one of my most-used CX-3 sounds when going
straight to my combo amp. I'm only including the settings that
define the tone and Leslie sim:
Wheel: Vintage
Overtone: 8
Leakage: 50
On Click: 80
Off Click: 45
Amp: 2
Gain: 15
Treble: -10
Mid: 0
Bass: +3
Verb: Plate
Time: 3.00
Mix: 32
Routing: Rev->Rot
Horn 70 Rotor 30
Horn Slow 8 Fast 90
Rotor Slow 7 Fast 79
Horn Up 6 Down 4 Stop 20 Start 15
Rotor Up 60 Down 40 Stop 82 Start 66
Horn Mic Distance 50 Spread 45
Rotor Mic Distance 45 Spread 45
I have been experimenting with closer virtual mics, per Ed's
suggestion. My latest edits take the Horn and Rotor mic distance
down to 32 and the spread for both up to 99. This is a fairly
exaggerated effect, but actually sounds cool. Any closer and it is
too pronounced to even sound musical. I have not tried it yet in a
band setting (have the weekend off), but I plan to keep tweaking
away. Any other CX-3 users want to share their settings?
