In my auditioning, one of the biggest differences I noted was in
(what I think is called..) foldback. The VK-8 seemed to have more
noticeable foldback. For example, the 16' drawbar has little (if
any) effect on the bottom octave of the keyboard.
At first, I thought the VK-8 or the sound system (amps and
headphones) were broken. Then I learned that it was intended to do
this (according to the manual).

To me, it makes the bass weak. Perhaps it is a more faithfull
simulation of a real B-3. But it did seem to me that the other
clones were less aggressive in their foldback.

So far, I haven't found a parameter in the VK-8 that lets me edit the
foldback points or attenuation amounts or whatever to affect this
behavior.

Has anybody else noticed a difference in the foldback of the various
clones?
