I used to gig with a KC500.. then moved way up to the SRM450. Believe
me, it is worth the extra $$$$$... Finally blew out a tweeter and Mackie
replaced it for free (typical of Mackie to do this)... Wonder if Roland
would do that....?

It looks like I'll pick up the KC-500. My Crate amp is SO very terrible.
It
is so COLD. Its brash and harsh, thin and edgy in a bad way. It is truly
a
zenith example of a terrible piece of manmade garbage.
Anything would be an improvement.
