Subject:Miking Leslies

Hi gang - Mr. Moderator, if this is off topic, I will withdraw my
question, but I figured this esteemed group would have the answer (or
at least many opinions!) On to my question:
How to mike a Leslie (for either studio or live work), especially in
stereo? 2 mikes at horn and bass rotor, of course, but at 90 degrees
to each other? right next to each other? Crossed? One close and one
far away to get the "room"? Joey D seems to get great "bite" in his
recorded sound (on Relentless, and on the Pat Martino CD recommended
on this board): the Leslie effect we all love is very well
represented (pretty much best I've ever heard, IMHO). Any input is
appreciated! And again, if this isn't right for this board, sorry,
and I'll be quiet :)
