Subject:RE: CX3 V2.0 Vibrato
The vibrato is noticeably weaker on my 1955 B3 than on my other two.
There is no doubt that this varied from year to year. I use C3 vibrato
frequently so I will have to see if this is truly an improvement over
V1.XXX. I wonder if there is anyway of reloading the former operating
system if I end up preferring the old vibrato...

My jury is still out on this one. I always thought that the v1.x
vibrato was heavier than normal (more like an A-100 than a B-3/C-3), but
I think I got used to it. With v2.01, it sounds a lot more like Greg
Rolie's Santana-era B-3, or maybe Mark Stein's, but I miss some of the
depth. Part of the issue is that the components in the B-3 era varied a
lot, especially over time, so different Hammonds have different vibrato.
I know it doesn't really make sense, but they both improved it and
stepped backwards a bit -- at the same time.
