Subject:Re: OT-Carpel Tunnel Syndrom

HI,

I was diagnosed with carpal tunnel syndrome a little
over 3 years ago. I am now required to brace both
wrists on my day job; between that and a few other
things I've been able to keep it from getting worse.
Namely you should try:

B6 in addition to whatever other supplements;
Bracing your wrists at night or when you sleep;
Take a long hard look at the ergonomics of your rig.
What can you do to minimize your hands having to bend
upward at the wrists? If you're playing clones or
synths, how about raising the keytip end of the board
slightly from level, especially if you're standing?
It goes without saying - your results will vary due to
1,000,006 factors.
But I feel your pain! The handshake problem sounds
like tendons. CTS is a nerve-pinching thing. You would
notice your middle fingers tingling...then any number
of numbness sort of things. I can't sit in an armchair
any more cause my forearms go numb. I'd appreciate
hearing solutions to that, short of sawing them
off...the chair arms that is. Best of luck!
