Subject:Re: Alesis Vertigo
Greetings:
While this product sounds somewhat exciting, the 100 buck price tag makes me
very suspicious. However, who knows? It might be great..wait and see I
guess.
The reason I'm posting is because I heard Alesis was in a desperate
financial situation. Does anyone know if this is true? Considering the
excellent and reasonably priced products thay've offered us over the years,
I'm a little surprised that the company might be in trouble.
I'm using an Alesis A-DAT 'black face', 8 digital tracks for less than a
grand. The newer recorders are less than 4 or 5 bills nowadays on e-bay. The
silver face is still very cheap compared to a DA-88. I've never played their
keyboards, but, they seem to have a decent reputation for sounding good and
being durable.
What goin' on at Alesis?
