I own an electro,and cannot speak any ill of it! I think the drawbar
buttons are smooth operating, and the led readout make it easier to
get exact levels of harmonics. Having said that, I've spent my life
pushing buttons, not pulling drawbars. I'm thrilled to own this
instrument, and love the organ sound. The leslie sim satisfies my
ears, and the effects and e-pianos are also very, very authentic and
effective.
Back to the drawbars, I love the random preset too. All in all the
drawbar experience with the electro has been very satisfying for me.
It's taken longer to get comfortable with the keybed when playing
acoustic piano, but even this aspect is turning into quite a natural
evolution. I don't think it'll be too long before Eric acclimates,
and I'm happy he likes the Nord as much as he does, it's reassuring
for guys like me, who don't have as much experience as I would like
to have on the real hammonds!! I'm sure I won't miss hauling one,
though!!! Derrick
