Subject:Re: CX-3 Key Problem

Sorry, by no means is this a spring or anything resembling one. It is a solid metal cylinder object.

It's a spring, for christ sakes. Let's call things by
their name.

After removing the cover I also found a

Well, that's the part of the key that keeps it
assembled. It's now broken. You can either glue it or
buy a new key an replace it. These springs have two
protuberances on the ends that fit into both the
action rail (key mount) and the actual key and keeps
them tight. Just observe the way the other keys are
mounted. Try dissassembling a spring/key and putting
it back again and you'll find out how it actually
works. I'd say it's even fun!

. Any suggestions?

Don't do it if you don't feel confident. It's a fairly
easy task, but if you mishandle things you can
break'em too. Think things twice before you put your
fingers on anything inside the board AND most
importantly, take it easy!.

Regards,
E.
