I think the board is a great product. It does two things very well:
it provides that Hammond sound and it has a terrific vintage pianos.
I'd suspect that few buyers go Electro only for a Hammond clone,
although some may do so for portability. It's the other capabilities
that make it a versatile instrument.
If can see a Hammond lifer troubled by the Electro's controls. But
they're not that tough if you've owned a computer, car, toaster oven,
microwave, or vcr in the last fifty years. (Assuming they're all not
flashing 12:00.) They're even easier for those of us who've endured
the vicissitudes of keyboard interfaces during that time.
In a perfect world, we could walk into a room and sit down to the
perfect house instrument, ready for us to play. But, since most of
us schlepp it ourselves, the Electro's much easier than other clones
and a helluva lot easier than 400 lbs. of Chicago's finest. (Before
the Leslie, the Rhodes and the Steinway.)
Those Swedes also get an attaboy from me for their upgrade-it-
yourself capability. Now, if they'd only release that upgrade.
I don't have a wagon, but the Nord fits in my Miata. Previously, I
couldn't take more that my accordion in that car. Speaking of toys,
the red case matches my AX-1. ;^)
