Subject:Cheaper alternative (Long post)

Whilst im not dismissing the undoubted quality of the Speakeasy
Preamp that allows you to connect your clone to a Leslie, i just cant
afford to get something like that after spending nearly £2000 on gear
in a few weeks..........so, after briefly describing to my father
what the Speakeasy was, he is now in the final stages of modifying my
Leslie 147 to accept my CX3, and the good thing about it, is that
theres no need for a seperate box, and all the work is being put in
the Leslie amp. As i dont know very much about electrics/onics and
intend to get him to write down what hes done and draw a schematic
for this, basically its this

Modelled from a front end amplification stage of a 60's Fender Twin,
with 2 inputs for 2 keyboards, (intend to use Rhodes through it too)
bass, mid, treble. and retaining original Leslie socket and volume
control.

The parts have only amounted to about £30 (including the ECC83 that
fits in the spare valve space on the amp) and if your a competant
person electrically or know of a competant person that can do this,
all i can say is that it sounds fantastic and am indebited to my
father for this!

If anyones interested, in due course i will have details of how it
works, photos, instructions and schematics of this modification that
i will happily send out to my fellow Clonewheelers.
