No, as Bruce mentioned, ANY parameter (Global or Current) can be saved, so that it is still there after power off/on. After you edit the parameter, you press [WRITE] and confirm the change. Every software parameter (with a few very minor exceptions) can be customized. In fact the CX3 with MIDI/SYSEX, allows over 200 parameters to be customized, and 128 presets (aka programs). I have created a CX3 MIDI interface (for Windows) that shows in realtime, all active parameters and controls, and allows editing and saving.
