Subject:Re: alternatives?

Hi,
This is really a "me too" kind of post in that I agree with Eric.
The OB3^2 has a good overall sound if fed through a decent simulator.
My main gripe with the OB was that if you use two virtual manuals
there is a phasing problem on fast spin and on straight organ, as if
the manuals are slightly out of tune with each other. The phase speed
alters with different chords.
I changed to a Voce V3 and I run it through a Dynacord CLS222.

If you are not phased by the phasing, then the addition of a decent
simulated rotary to your OB would be a major advance I guess, except
that I found the Leslie sim not too bad; it was certainly a pleasant
sound, but only if run in stereo. Run it through mono and it it is no
good at all.

Alesis are supposed to be bringing out a new rotary sim., the
Vertigo, to retail at $99 from zzounds. Don't know when; advertised
as being a world class rotary simulator though, so might be worth a
short wait.
Regards, Thomas.
