Mark,
I have been using a KT80 for awhile now, mainly as a rehearsal amp
and for small gigs. I've never compared it to the Roland KC series,
so I don't know if it sounds better or worse. It cuts pretty well
for me with most any sound and the price is very reasonable. Given
the number of nice amps you already have, I don't know that you will
be blown away with the KT80, since it is fairly utilitarian.
Here is a cut and paste of something I wrote about it several months
ago on CloneWheel:
Check out Motion Sound's KT80. http://www.motion-sound.com
This is a nice, small and inexpensive amp that sounds good. I use it
as a rehearsal amp and it works well for me. A bonus is that it has
a tube preamped channel so you could overdrive your CX3 through a
real 12AX7 if you wanted. I believe they sell new in the $379 range
but better prices are out there if you look. It has 100 watts RMS, a
12" speaker and a 4"x4" horn. Gets pretty loud and it is ultra
portable.
If you decide you want to upgrade and get a real good organ amp,
check out the Motion Sound KBR series.
Good luck.
Regards,
Eric
