Subject:OT: Jon's Hammond pursuit....

Well, today I wrote an email to the music pastor of the church who is
incarcerating the Hammond. No offers to buy it, no suggestions that
they should be rid of it...just a request to get some time to play
it. I figure it'd be smart to first get to know the folks over there
then see what their plans for the B are, rather than busting in with
Benjamins a-blazing. Frankly, I don't have the money now anyway
(remember, the whole college student bit)...and if I can get my name
floating around there in conjunction with the organ, perhaps buying
it in the future would be a bit easier.

And besides, it's not like I'm pretending to be interested in the
church and only gunning for the organ. I figure that some genuine
friendship between a large Church of God and the local Vineyard
church might be a good thing...and if there's a Hammond B3 Tonewheel
Organ in the middle of it, it just makes it sweeter ;)
