Subject:Motif8 & KBR3D

...new to the Clonewheel page and was wondering if anybody has
written
a decent (or bad) but thorough review of the KBR3D.

As in other posts: I too am trying to cut down on the amount of gear
/
setup / strike time for the weekend warrior gigs that I do about
twice
a month.

For a tone gen, the Voce V5 sounds like it is the way to go but for
the time being I will be using a KBR3D (ordered but not received yet)
and Yamaha Motif8 stock and sampled organs to achieve Organ-ic
Simulation. The CX-3 sounds nice but one KB is enough.

The Motif non organ sounds will plug into the KBR3D's stereo inputs.

The Motif organ sounds will plug into the KBR3D's rotary sim inputs.

I will also be trying to coax lead/rhythme guitar sounds (into the 3D
input) out of the KBR3D with a Telecaster & Digitech ValveFX unit.

An A/B switch will allow me to rout guitar into the 2nd rotary input
(ValveFX out levels?) in case we do 'Badge'.

All this at a stage volume level to hopefully mix well with 3 other
musicians: bass, drums & guitar

I have heard that the KBR3D seems to have some frequency response
issues and so I will be trying to run both the stereo keyboard signal
and the mono organ signal through a Yamaha ProMix01 mixer to
compensate if necessary. I also have a Fender Twin Reverb to use as
possible guitar and low end extension with the KBR3D sub out mod. I
don't want to step on our bassist's toes however so if the KBR3D is a
little thin in the lows it might not be such a bad thing.

Just wondering what kind of success others have had with this or
similar scenarios. Thanks all.

Great post board...
