Subject:Moderator Changes

All,

I'm sorry to announce that my co-moderator, Etienne Demers-Martel, has had to step down, due to his commitments outside the list. I'd like to thank him for his help these past months, and his ideas for improving the way that members interact with the mailing list. You'll probably still hear from him occasionally, just not in a moderator's capacity.

Two long-time members of the list, Eric Lawson and Ben Ninmann -- probably known to some of you as "e888000008" and "BenWaB3," respectively -- have agreed to step in and give me a hand. Both of them have been active participants in the lively and opinionated threads that make this group the special place it is.

Why three of us? Because the list is approaching 400 members, and is now linked through the Korg website and mailings, too -- thanks Jerry! -- so membership may start to climb again. The list policy of requiring new members to read the charter and respond to the moderator before posting means that joining the group can be confusing. It should be a trivial thing, but if I'm busy, or away on business or vacation, the process could stall for days. Hopefully, having several moderators around will keep this from ever happening.

Please join me in welcoming Eric and Ben to their new positions!
