For the full pedal board, cuban heels or cowboy boots (leather soles)
are really your only choices. (Unless you can afford custom shoes...)

The higher heel gives you leverage, as in being able to "bounce" on one
pedal - say 16th notes. Also, the leverage gives you the ability to
quickly jump a
distance of several pedals.

I have several of Tony's CD's. Not to take anything away from him
playing pedals, but check out Skip VanWinkle.
