Subject:Re: Voce V5 + Rotosphere

Hey Jorge,

I run a V3 and a Rotosphere and have been very happy with those basic parts.
Drawbars too. Two manuals/ one of them the XP-30 and I have a midi interrupt
to break the signal when upper manual remains V3 and XP-30 is the
piano/synth. But the sound was a little edgy and shrill in the upper end
of the keyboard on the V3. Rotosphere tube adds a little grunge but add
more output and ...zip...rapidly into Jon Lord distortion, something not
wanted right then.

So I previewed a Speakeasy and ....

A Speakeasy Pre-amp has really brought this unit alive. Fuller sound and
when I change the drawbars the V3 tone change corresponds to the settings.
The rest of the band is excited too, though I'm the one with the bill. :-)
We all pay to play!

Subject: [CWSG] Voce V5 + Rotosphere

Hi! I'm a new member. I live in Brazil where I play in a Rock & Blues band.
I own a Roland XP-30 with an expansion board "keyboards of the 60's and
70's", but I really miss some good Hammond's sounds.

As you guys can imagine I have a big shipping problem, so I can't afford to
buy a real Hammond, or even a clone like a XK-2, and a real Leslie. From all
the reviews that I've read, seems to me that my best options are a VOCE V-5
plus a Rotosphere. Am I right? What do you guys suggest?

Best Regards

Jorge
