Define "tone knobs" as this could be a lot of things depending on the
clone. You may be talking about drawbars or is this more like EQ,
volume and overdrive knobs?

If you are talking about drawbars, the answer is yes. It is
important to use them often and they make all the difference in the
world. I like to manipulate them during a song to provide different
textures for intro, verse, chorus, solo etc.

There are a lot of threads out there to discuss different drawbar
settings, so I won't go into too much detail here. Also, I'm not
sure if this is a drawbar topic or something different.
