If we're thinking about the same type of "cougar roar" -- Keith
Emerson uses it quite a bit (like in Karn Evil 9), I use a drawbar
setting something like 00 0008 888. Then the "wax on, wax off"
technique everyone else has been talking about.
Yeah, I've found that you can't always do a good gliss on some synth
keyboards. The "diving board" style keys that Bruce described don't
lend themselves to that kind of playing -- you either hurt yourself
or damage the keys after a while. And a lot of synths don't have the
polyphony to do a good, full roar...
