Depends on the clone, and any other gear that you might have in the chain. Personally, I like the CX-3 with a tube preamp and a little mixing-board EQ, nothing else. The internal speaker simulator is pretty good, so I don't think a second one is going to improve things much. If I was using a different clone, or a clone with a G4, Rotosphere, or other outboard sim, I might feel differently.
