Subject:New Member: Screaming XB-2 Help

Hello All,
Luckily I found an XB-2 Version 2 at a steal of a price......

Now I'd like to make it scream........
The kind of screaming sound I'd love to get is featured on
the track called Sylvia by Focus, plus anything that rocks by JTQ.

Can anybody help me with setting it up as so.......
I understand that I may have to buy an external effects unit to
increase the gain.....?
Can anyone recommend a decent (cheap) unit which would complement the
XB-2?
