Subject:Re: Impressions of Electro 2.0 ?

Adan,

The hard pan feature works perfectly. It is implemented differently than I
thought it would be, but, typically, they've thought it through more than I
did. After powering the Electro up, a couple of button presses invokes the
hard pan feature. From that point on, until you either change the setting
or power down, all pianos are panned to one side ( right I think ) and the
organ sound is panned to the other ( left I think ). This way you don't
have to worry about programming panning into your presets. If you set up a
stereo rig and want to use the onboard sim, just turn it on and go - if you
use two discrete amp systems, one for rotary, one for straght, a couple of
quick button presses and you're off and running. Elegant and simple. A
very Nord - like solution. Adjustable keyclick is nice, although that
didn't bug me before, the new Rhodes sounds are great, the new Clavinet is
absolutely awesome, and the piano touch is much improved - plenty of dynamic
range without losing notes if you play lighter. This thing just keeps
getting better and reminding me why I bought it!

Cheers, Ken
