Hey---

Man, I don't think you'd want to pry your way inside the Roto & start
messing with it, unless you're truly talented :->

Yesterday I had the golden opportunity to practice at home with the
Roto in the afternoon and play a Leslie 147 last night. Believe me,
the ramp-up & ramp-down are VERY similar. The actual sound may be a
tad different (obviously).
