Subject:RE: CX-3 Leslie pedal help

I called Korg this afternoon and after 5 tries finally got through. I
described to the "tech help" guy my dismay about my foot switch pedal not
working as a momentary pedal and he told me it was because I was using the
wrong pedal, (I use the Yamaha FC5 I use for all my keyboards). He said I
have to use a Korg PS-1 because of polarity issues. I don't really buy this
answer; Bruce already described why this shouldn't work and his answer makes
sense, and I wasn't real surprised that Korg suggested that all I need to do
is buy a Korg pedal. But I gotta know for sure, so before I spend $30 on a
PS-1, or cut and rewire the plug to one of my FC5's, does anyone in the
group have both a CX-3 and a PS-1 pedal? If so, please tell me if the pedal
will act as a momentary switch when you plug it into FS jack #1 (or #2) on
the CX-3.
Just to be clear, I describe momentary this way: Leslie Slow speed is always
on until you press and hold down the pedal and then it goes to Fast speed.
When you let up on the pedal it reverts back to Slow. The way my pedal
works now I have to press down and let back up to get one speed change (i.e.
to Fast) and then I have to press back down and let back up again to get
back to Slow. Thanks for any help.
