Subject:Volume pedal on Hammond B3
When the volume pedal on a real Hammond is all the way down
(in the "soft" position), is there NO sound, or is the volume
SOFT? Volume pedals for clones (both in-line and controller
style) seem to shut the volume off completely, and I wanted to
know if this was accurate to the way a real B3 works. I seem to
remember the volume only becoming soft when I played a real
B3 (a rare but wonderful experience), but might be wrong.
If in fact it does only become soft, does anyone have a
work-around to convert their pedals to this style? I've considered
just putting a piece of rubber under the "heel" of the pedal to
keep it from going all the way down.
Thanks,
John Maher
