I did this for a while when I had an XB-2 a long time ago. It was
very unsatisfactory for me:
- Often when comping I like to have a little 1' sound with whatever
basic tone I am using on the LM (e.g/ 42 4000 000). When this is
played from the pedals it sounds like someone is messing about on a
tin whistle in the background which is not great!!
- for ballads where I mainly pedal I set the pedals at the same DB
setting as for up-tempo numbers where I play LH bass and pedals, but
I use a different LM drawbar setting that is about 30% louder.
It might work for some people though who are possibly keyboard
players starting to learn the pedals, but I can't see organists
putting up with this for long.
