Subject:Re: Hammond press release?
Retail on the "New B3" is going to be 25-30K. I heard Joey D perform on it
at a Hammond breakfast as well as being truly honored to have been in
attendance at a Saturday evening show at Steamers Jazz Cafe that included 90
year old Don Leslie and Joe Pesci sitting in with Joey's trio and singing a
couple of standards.
That being said -the "New B3" is the real thing. Make no mistake, it's
back. I was sitting at a table with some very respected audio engineers and
all of us, in fact the entire room was floored at the way this beast sounds.
Hammond Suzuki has spent close to 8 years working on this singular project.
They have nailed it. It's as if a brand new 1966 B3 had just rolled off the
assembly line in Chicago.
Don't expect any product to be available for about 10-12 months. A remote
possibility of a portable "chop" to be eventually available to the Hammond
Pro side of the biz as well.
