It's well-known fact that here in the UK we are an inpercunious lot.
We just don't have the where-with-all to purchase all the wonderful
gear available to those across the big pond who walk on sidewalks
paved with gold. Our houses are small, we eat bread and dripping,
black puddings, and fish and chips on a Friday. Perhaps in their
infinite wisdom H/Suz thought that we might stretch to being able buy
a more basic keyboard whereas all you wealthy folk would turn your
noses up at this more basic design.

Could be though that there doesn't appear to be the same level of
interest in the Hammond Organ over here, well certainly not the same
requirement for a clone to perform to the same level of 'feel' that
is appreciated by US enthusiasts of the old B-3. Could well be indeed
that the potential market over here has never actually had the
opportunity to run its collective hands over a genuine tonewheel
Hammond and so wouldn't know that the lightness of a synth keyboard
would in any way detract from the enjoyment of this reduced feature
organ keyboard. Fortunately as the more appropriate type of keyboard
is already in production for other markets it has also been made
available over here for the odd Hammond nut who appreciates a more
authentic touch. Though $700 extra for a touchy feely board does seem
a bit steep. So is the XB-1 is a bit of steal or is the XK-2 a bit of
a sting?
