Subject:don't need no stinkin' double manual!
I'm wondering what the percentage of players here who feel double manuals
are important vs. those, like myself, who don't care.
I use the Korg CX3 on top, Yamaha S80 below and I can easily use the S80 as
a lower manual. I find the texture much more interesting if I use a
different voice for the left hand - maybe piano, rhodes, synth bass, string
pads.
In my former life I owned an L100 and pretty much had to use both manuals
because the keyboard s were so short. With 61 keys, I feel like I'm covered
and if I need to switch sounds, there are two sets of drawbars - in addition
to the preset on the CX3.
I realize this point of view could be taken as heresy to some on this board,
but I don't think it's important, I don't care about the extra money or
extra weight.
