Subject:Using CX-3 to control piano module

Sometimes I use my CX-3 to play piano patches on a Roland Jv-1010
sound module. It works fine, except I can't get the damper pedal
(which I plugged into the "pedal switch 2" jack) to act as a hold
pedal on the piano patches. What's my problem?

I CAN get the pedal to act as a hold pedal for the internal CX-3
patches, so I assume that I have the polarity and other settings
right.
