I have a copy of the book, and I'm happy to have it. It's true that it's
not without errors, but I don't think the book was marketed as the
definitive reference volume on Hammonds. It is full of very useful
information and was written with respect and love for all things Hammond.
Maybe there's a market for an accurate technical reference manual on
Hammonds, but I doubt it. With resources like these lists, who would buy
it? I don't think Mark Vail needs to defend anything - he wrote the book
and I'm personally glad he did. Anyone rewiring any part of a Hammond
should work with the schematic diagrams and should posess some degree of
technical expertise to avoid *dangerous* errors. Let's cut Mark some slack -
it's a pretty nice book.
