Subject:CW Polls

All,

I created four polls the other day, asking members about:

- what brand(s) of clone(s) members are using

- how members achieve a Leslie sound on their clone

- if members own a TG Hammond, too

- if members use pedals on their clone(s)

The response has been good, but if I had to take a guess from the
number of responses, less than 25% of the members have taken the poll
(around 50-60 respondees, vs. about 265 actual members).

While 20-25% is a good statistical response, I'm not sure if it
completely mirrors the status of the group. (I took statistics in
college, but I'm still not a full believer in the "30+ results" rule,
especially in a very unique group like this one.) I plan to close
the poll in about a week, and the more people who vote, the better
the poll.

If anyone is concerned about the results falling into a sales or
marketing survey, ending in members being hounded to buy products,
don't worry. The poll is competely anonymous. Even as moderator, I
can only see my votes.

From the current voting, it looks like the "typical" member has a
Voce and possibly one of the other Big Three clones (Hamm-Suz, KORG,
or Roland), and uses a Leslie or Motion Sound speaker and/or the
internal simulator (based on gig size?). A bit more than half of you
own a TG Hammond, too, and 3/4 of you don't use any pedals with your
clone. Does this apply to you? If not, vote!
