Subject:A Frame Stands

Rick:

Sorry for the delayed response, I only get the digest. Think I'll switch
over to "real-time" since this forum seems to have more to offer quickly
than some of the other groups I've monitored.

The Standtastic has two A-frames connected by a sliding X brace. It folds
into a 48" by about 5" diameter mass (all one piece) which fits into a
padded bag. The 2 tiered one I have has two shelves which are pin mounted
and adjustable (once adjusted, only the pins are used for set up). I would
say it takes me a good 4-5 minutes to set it up, usually while I'm talking
to somebody, so I might be faster if I worked at it. It does take a little
longer than my Quick lock, but the stability and "all in one bag" advantages
are worth the set-up time. Also, I occasionally would forget parts of the
disassembled Quick-Lock, and this one always stays together so I can't
forget a part. I think it cost about $150.

My wife has a digital camera ... I might be able to upload a photo, but not
tonight ... it's rehearsal night! :)
