Subject:Re: R: cloning mixture of X-77 with (new) CX-3 in EX-mode?
According to BITB, the H-100 (which was basis for X-77 design) had these
extra drawbars:
7th+9th harmonics together, with the higher 3db softer than the lower
10th+12th harmonics together, with the higher 3db softer than the lower
(the M-series spinet "dotted" drawbar was also 10+12 together)
Pedals: besides the "standard" ones, it also had "additional, brighter
variations of the 8' drawbar"
I don't know the CX-3 well enough to tell if you could do this in EX mode.
Note that H-100 had a full 96 tonewheels, going up to B, and two-phase
vibrato (2 scanners). It also had solenoid-latch mechanism for pedal sustain
(yuck!) and the E-100 brush/cymbal and harp sustain. both E-100 and H-100
were notoriously unreliable, and a service manual is a "must-have" (my L-295
is much more reliable than my E-112 ... when I get a clone, it will replace
the E-112 for sure, so I can have my dining room back) )-:
