Hello,
Talking of new Hammonds...
That's funny, because the new owner of the company is in Japan. I would
have thought they would have applied the Toyota Production System and made
some mass production, very high quality and low electricity consumption
Hammonds. US would fight back, asking Fender to produce competitive cheap,
eating a lot of electricity units that would last only 5 years (instead of
20) and apply high custom tariffs to every keyboard from Japan...
Ooops, I guess that happened with cars, not Hammonds...!
I guess I should give them a small marketing and micro-economic course
about offer and demand... I still wonder why without tonewheels, that cost
more than my 2000 minivan and my 1989 tercel... I would maybe pay that much
for real tonewheels, ... the big deal... The 1960-2000 car/hammond
comparison would stand in that case.. isn't the tonewheel the priciest
things in a Hammond...???
Well, who's the next person taking H-S out of bankruptcy? Maybe we could
start a cooperative company and buy them in one or two years, with the
japanese economy falling, even my little canadian dollars would be enough
to buy that company...!
Anyway, I mustn't be in the secret of gods and they must have a 20-page
list of potential buyers... and that's not me! :)
