3) I need an amp. It's not likely to ever be used with a group, so
high power isn't unnecessary. I'm thinking I'd probably want to spend
upwards of $300 on something used. Some fairly deep bass would be
nice. Reverb is a must. It also ought to be suitable for my wife to
plug in her acoustic/electric guitar and (very occasionally) for my
son's friends to use with electric guitars. Guitar amp? Keyboard
amp? Bass amp? Any suggestions for brands/models in that price
range?

Alan:

My vote is also for the Peavey KB-300. I have used a Crate KBR-300 (I
think that's the model) and I presently use a RCF 200AM powered monitor, but
a friend's KB-300 has sounded much better than my amps, especially with
piano. He uses it for a variety of purposes including electric guitar,
acoustic guitar, electric bass and PA for acoustic gigs. What you get with
the Peavey is quite a broad frequency response, plenty of power, three
channels, reverb and affordable price.

Good luck and welcome back!
