Well, he will be in it for the money, but Joey DeFrancesco performed/recorded with an XB3 and Herbie Hancock is touring not with a real Rhodes but with two Laptops and Steinbergs EVP88. I guess they have contracts for a tour/season or so.
However for me the Rotosphere seems to be a good budget solution.
