Subject:RE: CX-3 Leslie pedal help

My Motion Sound R3-147 (without Gas Pedal), my Korg G4, and the internal sim
in my Kurzweils all work in the 'momentary' way. I thought I remembered my
Voce SPIN (I) working the same way, but I haven't owned it for a while and
I'm not sure. My Leslie 147 was modified long ago (30 years) to behave the
same way and I'm not positive how my buddy wired it, but I do know the same
method won't work on a digital sim. I also realize that stock Leslies don't
work this way and I guess I've been spoiled.
I just don't like the 'latching' feel; I'm much more comfortable with the
'momentary' way. For one thing, I always know what speed I'm on because I
have to be pressing on the pedal to have Fast speed. That way when I'm
switching between keyboards I don't have to double check to see what speed
I'm on before I start playing a line. To me, it's similar to adding vibrato
with a modulation wheel on a synth.
Stubbornly, I'm just sure there's an easy work around to this; Bruce
suggested changing the CC# and using the foot switch jack on a second
keyboard and I'm going to experiment with that this weekend. I'd really
like to figure out how to do it with just the CX-3 and I'm guessing that
this is a feature that could conceivably be integrated into any software
revisions (Jerry Kovarsky are you reading this?).
