Subject:Re: Motion Sound KBR3D

This is an interesting thread ... I'd like to recommend that you check
out a couple of the small JBL Eon speakers (Eon-10). They are light,
compact, virtually indestructible, and have a great sound to them. In
fact, they sound much better (and louder) than the larger Eon-15 models
(I loved the 10s, bought a pair of 15s and was disappointed and sold
them; bigger, heavier and not as good sounding). (I have the original
Eon-10s, not the new version JBL is selling. Plus, they are relatively
cheap on Ebay. I also have the nylon gig bags for them.)

My first setup was a pair of the Eons, which can go on stands or on the
floor like a monitor, a small line mixer and a Motion Sound R3-147. I
had more than enough volume, even in a band with two drummers.

Then I went to the KBR-M, which is a great little amp, though not as
powerful as the Eons (and you can chain more Eons if you like).

I just got a CX-3, and I like the rotary simulation enough that I'm
going back to the Eons. I just think they're way more flexible in the
way I can position them depending on the stage, and the acoustic piano
sounds more natural through them. Hence, the KRB-M is for sale (make me
an offer!) and I can actually fit all this stuff into my Saab
convertible without having to strap the big ol' amp into the front seat
;-)
