Close your eyes, click your heels together three times, and say "Speakeasy.
Speakeasy. Speakeasy." Seriously, the Speakeasy vintage tube preamp is
probably the best choice - although you could go with a Trek II or Hamptone
instead.

122's don't connect directly to much of anything (well, they connected
directly to some Hammond consoles, but you don't get speed switching). You
have to be able to provide balanced signal (2 signal wires plus ground), with
speed-switching voltage interposed. Two more wires carry 117vac (or local
voltage) over the six-wire cable. And don't mess with the B+ wire, that was
meant for older consoles.

PS: I assume you know that a 122 Leslie weighs about 150 lbs. I tend to think
of them as ideal for churches, homes and other fixed locations, although
there are people that gig with them.
