The Yamaha expression pedals will not work properly with the Electro
out of the box. The connections in the jack must be resoldered from
what I understand. My FC-7 did not work as an expression pedal with
my Electro.

The Roland EV-5 and EV-7 pedals will work properly with the Electro
and do not require any modification to do so. Check these out.
