I have been known to use a Wah pedal for solos...

I've been thinking about this one myself of late... our recently retired (j/k) moderator uses one in his clone rig, but I believe it's a rack mount. I'm no engineer, but I think if we want to tailor our sound in stereo, an EQ pedal isn't going to have enough divisions to be "optimally" effective. A friend and fellow CloneWheel member here in Dallas uses a small foot pedal EQ on his BX3 and says it helps a lot, so I guess I would have to try it to see. I know that eventually I will want more flexibility out of my rig, and I will end up buying a tube pre... then the debate begins about whether to buy rack mount or foot pedal. Personally, I prefer for everything to be bundled together in a case to make it easy to move, especially if it's not something I tweak all the time while playing, so at that point I'll probably go ahead and buy a stereo rack mount EQ, and a rack mount tube pre, and whatever else. Of course, it has to clear "The Boss"... so it'll be a while I bet. And all the married men said...
