Ya know, I had a similar request awhile back. I've been playing
Hammonds since 1976 and am never without one (in addition to
clones). My son's friend had a friend that had an XK-2 and 251
Leslie but had NEVER sat down at a real B3. He asked if he could
come over, and we had a great time jamming with me on guitar and him
on my B3. I would never had known he was a Hammond console novice by
his playing.....very polished and expressive and was able to coax the
hidden nuances from within my rig. Evidently his XK-2 was close
enough for him to know the fundamentals. He was blown away by the
experience. He knows he's welcome back anytime to "relive" the
experience. I'm in Southern Ohio, probably too far for you but the
offer stands for you as well. I was a "crazy" kid once myself.
(still am except for my chronological age).
