Subject:Making a Leslie growl

Right now, I'm running a CX-3 V2 into a solid state amp. I'm
thinking about either adding a Speakeasy (to warm-up the sound) or
maybe adding both a preamp and a Leslie.

I play only for my own amusement in my house, at relatively low
volumes. If I get a Leslie, will I ever hear it "growl" if I don't
crank it up loud enough to send everyone else in the house running
for cover? Or can I get that sound from the Leslie at low volumes
by cranking up the Speakeasy?
